CNN issues Donald Trump news alert – he will be furious | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

American news channel CNN published a video montage of Donald Trump’s team speaking with mixed messages and contradictory statements about the Iran conflict that has erupted in recent weeks. In the first clip, a Republican said: “This is not Iraq, this is not a never-ending thing.” A second later, Trump said: “We are already significantly ahead of our time estimates.” Another person shared: “I don’t know how long it will take to achieve these goals.” Meanwhile, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt added: “We expect the achievable objectives of Operation Epic Rage to take approximately four to six weeks.” In another clip, Trump said: “We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough. Some might say they’re pretty well wrapped up.”

But in another video he said: “I can call it that or we can go further and we will go further.” He later noted: “I think soon [the war will be over]”

A recent CNN poll found that 59 percent of Americans oppose war starting on February 28, 2026.

Trump recently said his goal is to ensure that Iran does not develop weapons to target the United States, Israel or any U.S. ally “for a very long time.”

Global oil prices have risen in recent days amid fears that war could disrupt energy supplies.

But Trump said on Truth Social: “Short-term oil prices that will plummet once the Iranian nuclear threat is eliminated is a very small price to pay for U.S. and world security and peace.”

During Prime Minister’s Questions today, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch called on Sir Keir Starmer to reverse a planned increase in fuel duty – but said it had been frozen until September and “will be kept under review in light of what is happening in Iran”.
