Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro deploy over 200,000 Microsoft Copilot licences

Microsoft President and CEO Satya Nadella announced strategic partnerships with four leading IT companies (Cognizant, Infosys, TCS and Wipro) as they join forces with Microsoft to accelerate the adoption of agency AI.
“These companies are building deep AI factories,” Mr. Nadella said, addressing an audience of developers and AI experts as part of his AI India tour at Whitefield in Bengaluru on December 11.
However, these firms will emerge as Frontier Firms, where Microsoft deploys Copilot and agency AI across its various operations. Each of these companies will distribute more than 50,000 Microsoft Copilot licenses, totaling more than 200,000 licenses, creating a new benchmark for enterprise-scale AI adoption.
According to him, these organizations are becoming Pioneers by incorporating AI into core operations; not only embracing AI, but also redesigning workflows around human-agent collaboration to deliver high-value results and measurable impact across functions like delivery, sales, finance, HR, and customer engagement.
He said Microsoft has joined hands with four leading IT companies to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot and transform the way organizations work, innovate and scale. This collaboration enabled businesses to increase productivity, efficiency, and accessibility while spurring AI-powered innovation across industries.
According to Microsoft, with artificial intelligence at the center of operations, these companies are setting new benchmarks for productivity, innovation and corporate transformation.
This announcement comes a day after Microsoft announced plans to invest $17.5 billion in cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, skills and ongoing operations in the country over four years between calendar 2026 and 2029.
These global businesses are moving beyond trials to full-scale deployment, incorporating Microsoft Copilot into the fabric of daily business, said Puneet Chandok, President, Microsoft India and South Asia. ” This bold adoption inspires a new era of enterprise transformation powered by trusted digital collaborators.
