Cold Spring City Council to debate city hall remodel project Nov. 12

A public hearing will be held this Wednesday. Cold Spring Town Hall refactoring project.
The public hearing is scheduled for the Nov. 12 Cold Spring City Council meeting. Council members are expected to be called to a meeting at the town hall at 17:00.
A public hearing will follow the approval agenda vote. According to the agenda, the mayor will open the public hearing. HMA Architects & Donlar Construction will provide background on the project before the public begins talking.
According to the agenda, the hearing will close after the participants’ speech. Following the comment period, Cold Spring City Council members are expected to vote on the schematic design of the renovation project.
As of 13:30 on November 10, the preliminary budget for that site plan has not yet been announced. However, Mayor Kris Dockendorf wrote to city council members in the meeting packet that the agenda would be revised before the meeting.

Cold Spring “did not make the budget revisions in time to send them out in packages, so I will send them to you when I receive them, which should be on Monday. I will replace agenda item #6 (schematic design) with this budget number once I receive it,” Dockendorf wrote in the meeting packet.
According to the city council package, the basic proposal schematic design includes a detached garage, while the alternative includes an attached garage.
Dockendorf was formerly St. Cloud told Times that the cost of the project is expected to be no more than February: 4 million dollars. The Cold Spring library is preparing to move to make room for construction to begin.
Possible city hall renovations have also occurred as Cold Spring’s population has nearly doubled since the current city hall was built in 1984, at about 2,300 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
According to the meeting packet, Cold Spring City Council members will also discuss producing an informational video about the project for ROCORI Area TV.
