R&B singer D’Angelo dead at 51

R&B award-winning singer Michael Eugene Archer, known as D’Angelo to his fans, died at the age of 51 after his battle with cancer, his family said in a statement.
His family said the singer left behind “an extraordinarily impressive musical legacy” and asked fans to celebrate “the gift of song he left to the world”.
The influential singer was known for pioneering the neo-soul genre, which blends R&B music with other genres such as hip-hop and jazz.
His three albums earned him four Grammy awards. The music video for her hit song Untitled (How Does it Feel) gained mainstream attention after she appeared on stage performing the song naked in the one-take video.
