Lokesh Nara Meets Sundar Pichai, Reviews Progress on Google’s $15B Vizag AI Data Centre

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh IT and Industry Minister Lokesh Nara met Google CEO Sundar Pichai in San Francisco, where they reviewed the progress of Google’s $15 billion Artificial Intelligence Data Center in Visakhapatnam, billed as one of the largest foreign direct investment projects outside the United States. At the meeting attended by senior Google executives Thomas Kurian and Bikash Koley, Lokesh thanked the company for its groundbreaking investment and discussed ways to accelerate project timelines.

He also called on Google to explore establishing a drone assembly, calibration and testing facility at the state’s upcoming Drone City, while urging the tech giant to deepen its involvement in AP’s growing server manufacturing ecosystem.

In a meeting with Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Lokesh invited Adobe to set up a Global Talent or Development Center in Visakhapatnam to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s digital innovation environment. He also discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration in fable-free design, advanced research and engineering. He highlighted the state’s world-class AMTZ and pharmaceutical regions, encouraging Adobe to explore health technology and life sciences investments as part of its expansion strategy.
