Katy Perry posts photo with Justin Trudeau in Japan
Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have made it Instagram official after the singer posted a series of photos and videos from her trip to Japan.

Neither Perry nor Trudeau has commented publicly about their relationship. But speculation about multiple photos of the duo has been mounting for months.
Trudeau was spotted attending Perry’s concert earlier this year, sparking romance rumors with the pop star.
Perry was visiting Japan as part of his global Lifetime Tour.
The 41-year-old actor accompanied the Instagram carousel with the caption: “Time spent on tour in Tokyo and more.”
Earlier this week, Trudeau, 53, also reposted a photo of the two with former Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.
Writing to XHe said: “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I are so happy to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.
“Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and commitment to both the international rules-based order and a better future for all.”
Last month, the pair appeared to confirm their relationship after they were photographed holding hands at an event in Paris.
Famous news site TMZ published photos and video footage of the couple walking hand in hand before getting into the car. Trudeau was seen helping the singer into the backseat when photographers called out.
Their appearance in Paris coincided with Perry’s 41st birthday and appeared to mark their first public outing as a couple.
Perry and Trudeau did not immediately respond to the BBC’s request for comment.
During a recent tour in London, Perry appeared to hint at her relationship status.
After a fan proposed to her during the show, the singer joked: “I wish you had asked me 48 hours ago.” This was just days after photos of her and Trudeau first appeared online.
Perry was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. The couple, who had been together for ten years and had the same daughter, parted ways in the summer.
Trudeau, who served as Canadian prime minister between 2015 and 2025, was previously married to Sophie Grégoire for 18 years, and the couple separated in the summer of 2023. The couple has three children.
