Congress appoints senior leaders as coordinators for 2026 Maharashtra legislative council polls

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Maharashtra Congress appointed senior party leaders as coordinators of the elections of graduates and teachers elections planned to be held in 2026.
Balasaheb Thorat, a former Minister of Congress and Congress Working Committee (CWC), was appointed as a coordinator for PUNE graduates and teacher election zones on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The Legislative Council’s group leader and former Minister Satej Patil will serve as a coordinator for the election zone of Nagpur graduates.
Former Minister and Senior State Unit Vice President Sunil Deshmukh, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar graduates were turned into a coordinator for the election zone, while the former MLA and Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (Senior President MM Shaikh, Amravati teachers will be further coordinated, he said.
