Mukesh Ambani unveils Reliance AI Manifesto, promising to make artificial intelligence accessible to everyone

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani called Artificial Intelligence the “most significant technological advancement in human history” and announced a mega plan to transform the conglomerate into an “AI Homegrown Deep Tech Company”, calling on employees to collectively shape India’s AI-driven future.

In a manifesto, the Reliance Industries chairman addressed over 600,000 Reliance employees and their families and enlightened them about the ever-growing power of artificial intelligence. He said the world was only aware of the “tip of the iceberg” of the possibilities of artificial intelligence, but the technology had the power to solve some of humanity’s most complex challenges when used intelligently. “It is our responsibility to contribute to shaping this future for India and the rest of the world.”

He underlined Reliance’s intention to play a leadership role in the next phase of India’s technological transformation. Ambani maintained that Reliance has been successful in leading India’s digital revolution, which lays the foundation for the artificial intelligence revolution. The billionaire entrepreneur now aims to lead this revolution with his country in mind. “Our motto is clear: ‘Affordable AI for every Indian to transform every aspect of the economy and life in India.’ “This is the SANKALP (determination) of trust,” he wrote.

What is the Trust Manifesto?

The Reliance AI Manifesto is structured in two parts. Part I focuses on transforming internal operations across the organization through AI-specific ways of working, with the goal of achieving “10x improvement in the quality and results of the work of more than 600,000 Reliance colleagues.”

Describing the change as much more than a technology upgrade, Ambani emphasized that it represents a “new way of working” designed to help employees achieve better results faster while maintaining safety, trust and compliance. “This is not about changing people. It is about raising standards and unlocking the collective potential of our organisation,” the manifesto says.

The operating framework is based on four pillars (Results, Workflows, Platforms and Governance) supported by AI-powered data systems and human accountability. Ambani stated that “Artificial intelligence is increasing, it is not taking responsibility” and emphasized that trust and security will remain non-negotiable. Part II of the manifesto takes the vision beyond Reliance and outlines how AI can be leveraged to deliver a “10x impact on India” through businesses such as Jio, Reliance Retail, New Energy, Life Sciences, Financial Services, Media and philanthropic initiatives under the Reliance Foundation.

Highlighting Reliance’s reach, Ambani highlighted Jio’s community of over 500 million subscribers and Reliance Retail’s position as India’s largest retailer as unique platforms to democratize the adoption of AI across society. In the end, Ambani described the manifesto as “our shared commitment to building a New Reliance and the New India of our dreams” and called on employees to contribute ideas that would help translate the vision into action. “Let’s get started…together!” he said.
