Conservative MSP Graham Simpson fled to reform.
Simpson, reform leader Nigel Farage with a press conference in Scotland announced his move.
Simpson said that many of the journalists would not be surprised to see that they were flawed, and that leaving the conservatives was a “tremendous key”.
The second MSP who left the party’s Holyrood group last week.
Simpson becomes the only current MSP of Reform.
Michelle Ballantyne sat down as a reform member in the Scottish Parliament until January -May 2021, separated from the conservatives in the previous year and sat independently for a short spell.
He lost his seat in the May 2021 elections.
Simpson has been a MSP for the Central Scotland region since 2016. He is a former journalist with Sun and a daily record.
Speaking at a press conference in Broxburn, Western Lothian said: “Considering that Scottish Tories has put forward my name as a potential defector for months, it is true that some of you will not be surprised to see me here.
“I mean, I give them what they want today, but maybe not for the reasons they think.
“When I was 15 years old, I first searched for a lot of souls in the last few weeks.”
