Constance Marten and Mark Gordon guilty of killing their baby daughter after ‘recklessly’ going on the run in winter

Aristocrat Constance Marten and his partner Mark Gordon were found guilty of killing his newborn babies after he started running to stop looking at the child.
38 -year -old Marten and 51 -year -old Gordon, in winter conditions, “thin and rotten” camp in a tent camp with their newborn daughters Victoria with the network after the network was convicted of severe neglect in a re -trial.
Parents, unanimous decisions unanimously on Monday 14 hours 32 minutes after the negotiations refused to stop.
Marten, wearing blue upper and dark pants, then shouted from the quay, “This is a scam.”
At the age of 14, Gordon served in a Florida prison for 22 years for raping an armed woman with a knife and fencers in 1989 at the age of 14.
The decision comes more than a year after parents are tried on the timeless death of the baby.
Last summer, the couple was found guilty of hiding the birth of their daughters and hiding their body in a garbage -filled plastic shopping bag after a four -month attempt in London’s Old Bailey.
At the original hearing, they were convicted of the persecution of the child, now he could emerge, but the jury was discharged after he failed to make a decision on the charges of killing.
Marten, nicknamed Toots, broke his ties with his wealthy family who returned to England after he was released from the US prison after he met Gordon in 2014. Two years later, they married in Peru with an unofficial ceremony.
During the two trial periods, it turned out that the couple hidden Marten’s pregnancy with Victoria-with their gentlemen-dick.
The first four children were abolished by a family court – a decision that parents claim that there was a low justice directed by a “corrupt ör social services system.
He was born secretly in a holiday cottage before traveling the country with the baby hidden in Marten’s jacket – in the taxis paid in cash from the trust fund after the cars burned fire to M61.
After finding a placenta residues in their burnt cars, they decided to settle a “grilled” with a cheap tent in the middle of a human hunting in the middle of a human hunting.
However, Victoria, Marten died in January 2023 after he fell asleep after he was squeezed in his jacket while he was protected in the tent.
The prosecutor’s office said that the behavior of the parents “reckless, completely selfish and emotionless” leads to the death of the girl they deprived of warmth, shelters and food throughout their short life.
Also, they claimed that parents had hidden the baby in a Lidl carrier bag, and something Marten rejected because they kept him hidden while running. In the end, they used the same bag to carry it around his body before filling and hiding it with garbage.
Following his convictions, Lewis Basford, a detective manager who spoke outside Old Bailey, said that he was trying to özmek disrupting and disappointing the two hearings of the parents with repeated delays and interruptions, but finally justice was presented for Victoria.
“Recently, he had to celebrate his second birthday, but it has been severed by people who had to protect him and look at him,” he added.
Marten, a former journalist and enthusiastic actor, was arrested on 27 February 2023 with Gordon on 27 February 2023.
Initially, they refused to explain to the police what happened, the Brighton’s forest areas and their allocations to find the newborn led to a two -day crazy study.
However, after hiding Victoria’s decomposition remains in an abandoned hut, he woke up to find dead in his jacket.
The newborn was hidden in a shopping bag and “garbage” was covered with garbage.
The shocking images played to the court revealed before reaching the inside to find baby residues under a layer of soil and leaf, a beer box of officers, newspaper scrap, diapers, a cola box and an old egg mayonnaise sandwich package.
The prosecutor Tom Little Kc, who opened the original hearing last year, said: “In the middle of a cold winter and in ruthless, clearly dangerous weather conditions, they decided that they would deprive the baby what they need – temperature, shelter, food, and ultimately security.
“Essentially they left the network and lived in a tent without almost any clothes, remained with no food of holding and staying warm and dry.
“It was their selfish desire to hold the baby girls who inevitably lead to the death of that girl.”
However, parents who refused to kill man insisted that his death was a tragic accident, and they should not be accused.
At the first hearing, Marten at the beginning of the witness box for more than six days, said the jury with tears and his baby, who deserved to be with his family: ım I gave him the best that any mother could do ”.
After his death, he said that he felt “disbelief, shock” and “intense grief ve and explained that the couple thought to commit suicide as they panicked what to do in the next step.
He told the jury members that he held the child for a few hours before he told his daughter, whom he had wrapped in a black headscarf and placed in a bag.
“I didn’t know what to do. They will be a field day – media, press and social services, everyone,” he said.
“He was in my care and the next thing died. I thought. “
The court heard that social workers had previously warned him to sleep together with a baby in a tent, and shortly after delivering his first child with Gordon a few years ago. The couple quickly lasted three more children, but four were taken care of by social services.
In court, after the mother concluded that there was a domestic abuse between a family judge, she insisted that Gordon was misused to fall out of a window after they were accused of “stole”.
However, he said to the jury that he neglected himself in his desperation to protect Victoria and said to the jury: ım I loved him very much, I didn’t think of myself.
“I gave birth, but I didn’t even have time to listen to myself, I entered a direct car and I was up and down in different hotels. I didn’t let myself rest, I neglected myself and so I fell asleep in that tent.”
He also agreed to Gordon to lie to the police because he thought he would automatically blame him, that he was a black man ”when his daughters died.
Parents gave an offer to object to their convictions before their second hearing, now they can be notified, but the Lady Chief Justice Barones Carr and two appeal courts were rejected by the judge.
Mr Little, who opened the prosecutor’s case in a re -trial in March, described Marten as a “confidence fund child” as he claimed that Victoria had died of hypothermia or “great negligent“.
A witness examining the conditions in the tent, the jury will be exposed to a “significant hypothermia risk” if the baby’s clothes get wet.
On January 8, 2023, the prosecutors claimed that they were “wet” when they took part in a “thin and rotten” tent.
CPS London’s Senior Crown Prosecutor Samantha Yelland said that there was a “long way in the fight for Victoria, but he added:” I feel justice. “
Parents are expected to be sentenced on September 15th.
