Construction site fight results in manslaughter charge

An alleged workplace argument turned deadly after a man was injured at a construction site.

The 40-year-old man hit his head on a road south of Sydney on March 3 and suffered serious injuries.

Medical teams intervened at the scene and took him to the hospital.

Six days later, police were called to the hospital to investigate after his injuries were deemed not consistent with an accidental fall.

He died shortly after the police visited.

Police arrested another man who was at the worksite in Gymea Bay on Thursday.

The 37-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter, while police allege he attacked the man during an argument at work.

He is being held in custody and is expected to appear in the local court on Friday.
