Control room set up in Cuddalore to receive rain-related complaints

While the Mettur Dam was released from the Cauvery River, Cuddalore Regional administration warned people living in low areas to move to safer places.
Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithia Senthil Kumar said that the Mettur dam has reached its entire capacity and that the discharge is always expected to press 75,000 Cusecs from 50,000. In the underlying areas, especially at the end of the tail, he asked people to move to a safer place from the people living in the Delta area and warned them against bathing or taking their cattle to the river.
A 24 -hour control room was established in the Cuddalore Collector to address complaints about rain. Residents can call the control room on a phone number 1077 or 04142 – 220700 to report any damage to the rain.
