Norway’s Crown Princess has become the latest European royal to be embroiled in the Epstein scandal following the latest document dump. She and her husband Haakon, Crown Prince of NorwayBoth attended Grand Duke Guillaume’s wedding, which lasted three days from 19 to 21 October 2012.
According to Norwegian news outlet NRK, Crown Princess Mette-Marit is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files.
The Norwegian royal family told another news outlet, VG Live, that the Crown Princess spent four days at Epstein’s luxury mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and recommended a dentist to her.
In a statement from the same organization, Mette-Marit said: “Jeffrey Epstein is responsible for his actions. I must take responsibility for not being able to better check Epstein’s background and understand the kind of person he was quickly enough.”
“I deeply regret this and it’s a responsibility I have to take. I made the wrong decision and I regret having any contact with Epstein. It’s a real shame.”
He expressed his “deep sympathy and solidarity” with survivors of Epstein’s abuse, according to VG Live.
The Norwegian royal family isn’t the only one featured in recently released documents. Britain’s royal family is also facing embarrassment as more unsavory details emerged about the relationship between convicted sex offender and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on Friday (January 31).

Elsewhere in the transcript, screenshots and scans appear to show the former prince exchanging emails with Epstein about a “beautiful” Russian woman and inviting her to Buckingham Palace.
Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal prison in Manhattan, New York, in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.
