Cops race to ‘explosion’ outside US embassy in Norway… as giant LASERS used to zap rockets targeting embassy in Baghdad
There were attacks on the US embassies in Oslo and Baghdad on Saturday night as the crisis in the Middle East threatened to spiral out of control.
A rocket attack targeting the US Embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad early on Saturday was blamed on ‘rogue groups’ by Iraqi officials.
The footage shows a US Army C-RAM interceptor intercepting rocket fire and sending a striking red laser into the sky as it unloads the munitions.
A security source told AFP that four rockets were launched towards the embassy, three were intercepted and one fell in an open area at the embassy’s airbase.
A large explosion was reported outside the US Embassy in Oslo at 1 am local time in Norway.
Oslo Police Chief Michael Dellemyr told NKR that the explosion caused “minor injuries” and damage to the embassy’s consulate entrance.
Police said the source of the explosion or who was responsible was unclear.
According to the information given by eyewitnesses to Verdens Gang from Norway, smoke was seen rising from around the embassy building.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shiite al-Sudani stated that the attack was launched by a rebel group and that he ordered the security forces to find the perpetrators of the ‘terrorist act of launching a missile at the US embassy’.
‘The perpetrators of these attacks are committing crimes against Iraq, its sovereignty and security. The Prime Minister said that these rogue groups operating outside the framework of the law in no way represent the will of the Iraqi people.
Iraqi security officials told the AP that the missile, which escaped intervention, fell on the helicopter landing pad at the embassy’s air base.
The attack on Saturday night was the first attack on Baghdad’s heavily guarded Green Zone, where government offices and diplomatic missions are located, since the US-Israeli attack on Iran eight days ago.
This comes after President Donald Trump admitted he could “probably” deploy US troops to Iran, but said there would have to be a “very good reason” to do so.

The attacks were launched after Iran’s de facto leader Ali Larijani told state media that the country would not bow to Trump’s demands for “unconditional surrender” and vowed that the US “must pay the price” for killing the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
In an angry speech to state media on Saturday night, Larijani said: ‘Americans must know that we will not abandon them.’
‘When the enemy attacks us from military bases in the region, we will respond, this is our right and policy,’ he added.
‘We do not want the region to be destabilized, but the essence of this war will destabilize the region.’
Tit-for-tat attacks threatened to spiral the war in the Middle East out of control; Trump had previously stated that he was considering launching a major attack this weekend, which he called a “major attack.”

Supreme National Security Council Secretary Larijani, whom many see as Iran’s most powerful man after the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, published a series of bizarre and unsubstantiated claims about the conflict on X on Saturday night.

The rebuke came after Larijani accused Trump of ‘promoting a misleading narrative’ about six American soldiers killed in Iranian strikes last week since the start of the war. Larijani had previously claimed that the real number of casualties in the US was ‘over 500’.
