Country in full-fledged reform express phase: PM at NDA Meet

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the country is currently in a phase of ‘express reform’, with reforms taking place at a rapid pace and with clear intent, sources said.
Addressing the NDA parliamentary party meeting, Modi said the government’s reforms are citizen-oriented and not just economic or income-oriented. Modi urged all MPs to actively share the real problems faced by common people so that the ‘reform express’ can reach every household and eliminate daily challenges.
The Prime Minister stated that he wanted to put an end to the culture of 30-40 page forms and unnecessary paperwork, and emphasized that “we need to offer the service to the doorstep of citizens” and eliminate repeated data submissions. Sources emphasized that by allowing self-certification, he reminded the citizens that the government trusts, and that this trust has worked successfully for 10 years without abuse. NDA leaders presented a large wreath to Modi and congratulated him at the meeting at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building. Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda were among those present at the meeting.
