Couple Killed In Mishap At Mangalagiri

Vijayawada: A 65-year-old man and his 60-year-old wife were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a minibus while they were heading the wrong way on the national highway near Chinakakani in Mangalagiri district of Guntur district, police said on Friday.

The deceased were identified as K. Nageswara Rao and Dhana Lakshmi.

According to the police, the couple made a U-turn and headed in the wrong direction when their bikes were hit by a speeding minibus from the opposite side, killing them on the spot.

The police launched an investigation into the incident and detained the minibus driver. The investigation continues.
