COVID-19 | Delay in delivery of vaccine doses

Some pharmacies across Quebec are still waiting for the arrival of doses of COVID-19 vaccine, deplores the Quebec Association of Pharmacist Owners (AQPP). She explains that this delay could lead to the postponement of certain appointments already planned and emphasizes that this situation is beyond the control of pharmacies.
The AQPP announced this delay in a press release on Tuesday, less than 24 hours before the launch of the official vaccination campaign against influenza and COVID-19.
“This setback is temporary and should be restored as soon as possible,” we read in the AQPP press release. We are confident that the situation will be resolved in time so that everyone who wishes to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in pharmacies can do so and be ready for the next wave of COVID-19. »
The AQPP calls on the population to show understanding and collaboration to facilitate the management of this situation.
“It is important to emphasize that this distribution issue is not the responsibility of the pharmacy teams, who remain fully committed to providing quality care and ensuring the health of the population,” adds the AQPP.
