CPI(M) opposes installation of smart electricity meters in Vijayawada

The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) accused the ruling coalition government of uploading the government to the directives of the central government led by Modi against the establishment of smart electricity meters in households.
CPI (M) Central City Secretary Bhupathi Ramana Rao, who addressed the press on Saturday, claimed that smart meters and solar energy projects were used as a cover for large -scale corruption, including RUPI -value contracts and tenders. Criticizing the government’s double standards, when the previous government proposed smart meters, he said they wanted the destruction of the OPPOZON Party TDP at that time. “The current coalition should remember the previous stance,” he said.
Mr. Ramana Rao also said that the public was strongly against the installation of smart meters. The authority asked the government to immediately cancel the smart counter and solar energy agreements.
