The other walking party called on Friday at around 15.30 emergency service, but the weather prevented a rescue team from reaching the group until the afternoon.
Police search and rescue, sound, parks and wildlife service and ambulance Tasmania and the rescuers were finally able to reach the party and set up a night before leaving the area on Saturday morning.
Tazmanya Police Inspector Steve Jones said that the visitor group was a “tragic result ve and added that the state’s air may change“ especially in the fields of Alpine ”.
“Unfortunately, they were not prepared for Bushwalking and found themselves overwhelmed by extreme weather.
“The group did not have appropriate equipment, including a personal finder, and did not call for help when they first noticed that they needed help.
“Fortunately, another group of walkers found them and provided valuable aid in their limited materials.”
Jones, rescue officials could not use a helicopter to reach the party because excessive weather conditions delayed the help and land search and rescue teams take time to reach them, he said.
