Crime scene declared in Brisbane’s south after Foote Street blaze
A crime scene has been declared following a house fire in Brisbane’s south on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to a single-storey home on Foote Street in Acacia Ridge around 1:10 p.m., where they found the house engulfed in flames.
Four fire trucks were called to respond to the fire, which was brought under control just before 1:45 a.m. and extinguished about an hour later.
Foote Street between Mortimer Road and Mulvey Street was closed and residents were urged to stay indoors with their windows closed.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the home had significant structural damage and firefighters were unable to enter.
It was stated that the ministry would hand over the crime scene to the police for investigation.
