Almost 1000 senior jobs slashed from Transport for NSW in massive restructure

Weeks after the state government reached a turning point agreement with the railway unions, approximately 1000 personnel reportedly fall from transportation to NSW.

NSW Secretary Josh Murray said that approximately 950 senior service manager and award role will be cut by a E -mail seen by The Daily Telegraph.

In addition to the loss of 300 senior executive roles announced in June, Mr. Murray will be “concerned for many people in the transport department on Wednesday.

“This also means reducing reproduction, removing uncertain reporting lines and making it clear what our people are expected of them.

“The change of this scale is never easy and it affects all our people, work, teams and the sense of certainty about the future.”

Daily Telegraph said that no front service role will be cut as part of the restructuring.

Only weeks after the state government has made a turning point with the combined railway unions, which ended for months of industrial actions.

NSW deals with policy, planning and regulation for transportation systems throughout the state, including transportation, road, railway, ferry and light rail services.
