Cutting aid for children is unhelpful. Here’s where to find abuse.

Deep interruptions in health services, nutrition programs and child care and the reasons for the services financed by other publics in most of the Federal Budget Memorandum legislation and in most of the Government Efficiency (Doe) actions are necessary to root “fraud and abuse”.
Nevertheless, we can protect these basic services for children and families, and instead, if we had to go after fraud and the most common and costly abuse, we could reduce government waste. Instead, the congress and the president are moving in the opposite direction.
As someone who has spent decades of children and family policy, I first saw how well most public programs for children actually work. Medicaid, Snap, WIC, Head Start, Idea and Head and Children’s Welfare Services are among the most effective and accountable programs in the government. Iowans know that public schools are the basis of our future. The benefits are clear and change life for millions of children and family.

Nevertheless, instead of investing in what works, the existing federal budget proposals are shouting these programs through budget agreement and Doge actions. The Congress has reduced more responsibility and funding to cut Medicaid and reduce nutrition aid and receiving these services and to cause great damage to people and state governments.
If the deputies are serious in cutting waste, some areas they need to look at:
SELLER FRUBS IN HEALTH SERVICES: Tens of billions of dollars disappear every year Fraudulent invoices in Medicare and Medicaid – Not by families, but by providers. These include invoicing, double billing, up coding and fantom patients for services that are never delivered. The Ministry of Justice regularly saves the fraud settlements for billions, but the application remains inadequate and is subject to the Dogge deductions that limit its capacity further. Strengthening the audit systems and prosecution of fraud and investing in the status Medicaid fraud units will save real money without punishing children or families.
Tax smuggling by rich and strong and profitable companies: IRS Forecasts More than 600 billion dollars of taxes are not collected every yearDue to inadequate reporting by highly high -income individuals and companies. Increased implementation capacity directed under Biden’s management was among the first places where Doe and presidential orders reduced funds and personnel. Restore the IRS application capacity will produce hundreds of billions for ten years. Instead, additional tax cuts go to those who do not pay what they already owe. The working class families pay that they owe. There must be rich.

Corporate Abuse and White Collar Crime: From price installation to corporate tax shelters, wage theft, financial abuse in the private sector, everything found in the security network programs. Nevertheless, the prosecution of corporate crimes is at low levels. Going after these white -collar theft forms of theft not only protects public income; He believes that the system is not fraudulent against daily Americans. Combating fraud, waste and abuse requires the attention and reaction of the government. We must fight against the “crime on the streets, but if we really protect the American people, we must fight against ür crime in suits ..
Simply put, the problem of “fraud and abuse” does not play poor families and children in the system. Strong actors exploit it. They are political choices that allow this exploitation to continue and to be exposed to less control.
Cutting the programs that feed children, keep them healthy and help them learn are not financially. The persecution hidden as reform. It deepens the public cynicism in which the government serves the rich and punishes Americans working according to the rules and struggles to move forward. Most importantly, it endangers our future.
If we want a working government, we must start for all of us by protecting our most effective programs and breaking real fraud. This is not just a good economy. Basic justice. The leadership that working families want and deserve.
