Cyberabad’s She Teams arrest 54 for indecent behaviour in week-long operation

A total of 54 people were detained for inappropriate behavior in public places during 192 decoy operations carried out by Cyberabad She Teams during the week-long operation between February 14 and February 20. Cases were registered against 43 people, and counseling was provided to the rest. Additionally, 13 complaints received from women through various platforms during the week were addressed and resolved.
Taking precautions against anti-social activities, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit organized special night raids and detained 14 sex workers and three transgender people. Additionally, seven accused were arrested and four victims were rescued in three cases filed under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. A lawsuit was also filed against a spa center that was found to be operating without permission and against norms.
Family Counseling and CDEW centers continued to intervene in family disputes, enabling 28 families to reconcile and resolve differences between spouses.
In coordination with Cyberabad Security Council Association, a ‘Women’s Day Security Boot Camp’ was organized for employees of CVM Solutions Private Limited in JNTU-KPHB region. Approximately 50 female employees were trained on self-defense techniques, workplace safety and ways to deal with harassment.
Police also conducted extensive awareness programs in Cyberabad, educating 3,852 people on issues such as human trafficking, child marriage, cyber harassment, eve-teasing, stalking and cyber fraud.
Officials reiterated the importance of helplines such as Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, dial 100 for emergencies and 1930 for cyber fraud complaints.
