Trump Reportedly Berated Zelensky in Closed-Door ‘Shouting Match’ — Warned Ukrainian Leader Putin ‘Will Destroy You’

Donald Trump And Volodymyr Zelensky They were relatively cordial at a lunch meeting in front of reporters on Friday, but the goodwill reportedly turned into a “shouting match” when the two leaders disappeared behind closed doors.
Financial Times reported on sunday Trump warns Ukrainian President to accept Russia’s terms to end war against Russian leader Vladimir Putin “Destroy” Ukraine.
“The meeting between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents turned into a ‘shouting match’ on multiple occasions, with Trump ‘cursing constantly,’ people familiar with the matter said,” according to the report.
Trump also reportedly insisted that Zelensky hand over the entire Donbas region to Russia; This was a point Putin made during a meeting at the White House the day before. Putin reportedly told Trump on Thursday that in return he would lose “some small territories in the two southern front lines, the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.”
The report continued: “European officials briefed on the meeting said that at Friday’s meeting, Trump appeared to have adopted many of Putin’s talking points verbatim, even if they contradicted Putin’s recent statements about Russia’s weaknesses.”
According to a European official with knowledge of the meeting, Trump told Zelenskyy that Putin had told him the conflict was “not even a war, but a special operation” and that the Ukrainian leader must reach an agreement or face destruction.
The official stated that Trump told Zelenskyy that he had lost the war and warned: “If [Putin] If he wants, he can destroy you.”
At one point during the meeting, the U.S. president tossed aside battlefield maps of Ukraine, an official familiar with the encounter said. Trump said he was “tired” of seeing the front-line map of Ukraine over and over again, according to the official.
Zelensky said on Sunday that “decisive steps are needed from the United States, Europe, G20 and G7 countries” to end the war.
Trump told Fox News: Maria Bartiromo It was said on Sunday that Putin would “get something” from Ukraine. “I mean, they had a fight; he has a lot of property… a certain property won.”
Speaking to Bartiromo, Trump said that he would not commit to sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine at Zelensky’s request because “We need them for ourselves, too.”
