Actor Sharman Joshi shared a big update about his father-in-law, veteran actor Prem Chopra and his recent health issues.

Weeks after veteran actor Prem Chopra was hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, his son-in-law, actor Sharman Joshi, shared details about his health condition. In a post on Instagram, Sharman Joshi revealed Prem Chopra’s diagnosis of “severe Aortic Stenosis” and added that he had undergone a successful TAVI surgery in which the aortic valve was narrowed without open heart surgery. He also shared that the master actor recovered in a short time and returned home.

“On behalf of our family, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and admiration for the exemplary treatment my father-in-law Mr. Prem Chopra Ji received from respected cardiologists Dr. Nitin Gokhale and interventional cardiologist Dr. Ravinder Singh Rao. My father was diagnosed with severe Aortic Stenosis and Dr. Rao successfully performed the TAVI procedure by replacing the valve without open heart surgery. Dr. Gokhale’s consistent guidance at every step has benefited us immensely. Their expertise hassle-free procedure, complication-free treatment and made a speedy recovery. My father is now home and feeling much better. We will always be grateful for the incredible support and care he received,” Sharman wrote in an Instagram post.
He also shared several photos from the hospital with his doctors, showing that Prem Chopra was visibly healthy.

In early November, Prem Chopra was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to chest congestion. He was discharged a week later, on 15 November.
