Dalal, a disabled Palestinian, and her evacuation from Gaza

This week last year, I was flying to Doha to support my Palestinian friend Dalal, who evacuated Gaza, to come to Australia. Dalal, who was born completely blind, could not fly this far alone. I left Melbourne, sat at Doha Airport for 14 hours, swam, met him and came back again without leaving the airport. Such a journey would not be possible for either of us today.

As the US-Israeli war against Iran becomes increasingly widespread, protracted and deadly, Palestinians in Gaza express fears of being forgotten and abandoned in the midst of a genocide that has never actually ended.
