Dalaroo hits high-grade gold in soils along 7km in West Africa

Dalaroo Metals has announced a stunning peak soil sample result of 23.26 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at its Bondoukou gold project in West Africa’s Ivory Coast, achieving surface geochemistry figures that would make many hard rock drillers blush.
The outstanding result from the Gold Ridge prospect heralded a series of new assays that identified a 7 kilometer long, coherent mineralized corridor that remains open.
Impressively, the widespread gold anomaly is supported by 529 samples grading above 25 parts per billion (ppb) gold, including 127 samples above 100 ppb and 19 samples above 500 ppb.
The company’s latest sample from the B-Horizon soil layer at a depth of approximately 40cm returned several high-grade results including 3.25g/t, 2.54g/t, 2.09g/t, 1.96g/t, 1.72g/t and 1.21g/t gold.
‘Gold Ridge has rapidly grown from a single exploration target into a regional-scale gold system.’
John Morgan, CEO of Dalaroo Metals
Gold Ridge’s newly defined corridor is supported by three distinct large-scale target areas. The 1.5 km long Northern-Mag prospect hosted a spectacular gold strike of 23.26 g/t and was defined by a gold streak of 100 ppb.
The 3.5 km Central-Wilfred prospect is outlined by a 50 ppb contour with peaks of 0.56 g/t and 0.51 g/t gold. Completing this trio is the Güney-Ali region, which is 2 km long and 1.2 km wide and has a peak value of 0.71 g/t gold.
It is noteworthy that the high-grade soil results match neatly with Dalaroo’s geological model. The anomaly is strongly associated with an interpreted magnetic-geophysical corridor and is associated with extensive artisanal gold working, suitable geology, and underlying structural controls.
Dalaroo Metals CEO John Morgan said: “Description of a coherent 7 kilometer gold corridor supported by favorable geological and geophysical indications, widespread artisan works And multiple high grade soil anomalies, to represent A. main turning point inside ours understanding related to the project And strengthens ours confident inside the scale related to the underlying mineralized system.”
The company says combining data from various surveys gives it a solid framework for drilling targeting. But more importantly, new information suggests that Dalaroo may be on top of the same type of structurally controlled Unitian gold system that has made West Africa a world-class gold province.
The Gold Ridge zip code is hard to ignore. It is located just 35km northwest of Endeavor Mining’s Tanda-Iguela gold project, one of the most significant recent gold discoveries in the Ivory Coast, which demonstrates an impressive gold resource of 4.5 million ounces.
The prospect is also located immediately adjacent to Koulou Gold’s Gontougo project, an earlier-stage exploration play that does not yet have an identified mineral resource but features substantially the same geology as Tanda-Iguela.
While exploration at Bondoukou continues to produce promising results, the project forms only one part of Dalaroo’s diverse exploration portfolio. The company is also advancing the Lyons River and Namban projects in Western Australia, as well as the Blue Lagoon rare earths, zirconium and niobium project in southwestern Greenland.
With impressive surface results now available at Gold Ridge, Dalaroo is wasting no time in its quest to locate the bedrock source of the striking surface mineralization. A 5000 meter auger drilling program is currently underway to better define the gold anomaly beneath any transported surface cover.
The results of the auger work will then be used to identify targets for a major 20,000-meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling program scheduled to begin in July. The company said it has already locked in local contractor FTE Drilling to spearhead the campaign.
It is rare to see soil sample results provide grades that most explorers would happily extract from drill core, let alone a simple surface sample.
Now, with a 7km long high-grade surface anomaly track that has not been fully tested by RC or diamond drilling, a well-supported geological model, and a “truth detecting” drill bit about to test the system systematically for the first time, Dalaroo looks set to generate significant news flow on its West Africa and Greenland projects in the coming months.
