Darra woman wins $24 million jackpot; Hour-long train delays due to signalling issue at Milton; Slain businessman Greg Josephson to be farewelled in Clayfield funeral

The trains are expected to work on time to get back on Monday evening, and Queensland railway teams are repairing the signal problem that causes major delays on the network.

A Queensland Rail spokesman said the signal problem containing telemetry equipment took place just before 5 am and affected all rails.

The crew was online at 8.20, but it was too late for morning vehicles.

Train users faced delays for an hour extending far beyond the morning summit along the network.

“Our crew repaired the signal problem in Milton, and this afternoon is not expected to affect customers at the summit,” QR spokesman said.

“When they were able to run at limited speeds, the services between Indooroopilly and Roma Street were suspended until 7.20 hours, but it had a flow effect along the network because it occurred at a busy urban station.”

IPSWich, Springfield, airport, Caboolture, Cleveland, Doomben, Ferny Grove, Redcliffe Peninsula, Shorncliffe, Sunshine Coast Limes were impressed.

However, as a result of this issue, some services in the afternoon were still canceled.
