Dating-app pub scam allegations resurface in Hyderabad

A pub scam allegedly linked to dating apps Appeared once again in HyderabadA man claimed to have been duped of more than ₹28,000 during a brief meeting at a different bar, leading to an investigation by the Jubilee Hills police.

According to the complaint received on Friday, March 21, 2026, the victim said that he matched with a woman via Tinder who wanted to meet near Peddamma Gudi Metro Station. After the meeting, he allegedly took her to the Night Owl Club and Kitchen; here expensive drinks were ordered within minutes and the bill rose to over ₹28,000 despite the short duration of the interaction.
