U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are facing a rise in death threats and violent attacks as the Trump administration continues its crackdown on illegal immigration.
Statistics released Wednesday by the Department of Homeland Security show ICE officers have experienced an 8,000% increase in death threats targeting ICE officers.
DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the threats came because officers “risk their lives every day to eliminate worst from bad.”
“Our officers are being subjected to an unprecedented level of violence due to bounties on their heads for their murders, threats to their families, stalking and exposure of personal information online,” it said in part.

McLaughlin also said “sanctuary politicians” contributed to the rise “through repeated smear and demonization tactics, including crude comparisons to the Nazi Gestapo.” He added that “this violence against law enforcement must end.”
DHS cited several recent examples of threats against ICE officers and their families; some of them, including those who offered money to be killed.
Eduardo Aguilar, a Mexican citizen living in the U.S. illegally in Dallas, Texas, was arrested earlier this month for allegedly encouraging the killing of ICE agents in a TikTok post.
The post, written in Spanish, allegedly offers $10,000 for the murder of an ICE agent and calls for “10 men in Dallas who are not afraid to die with determination.” [two skull emojis]” DHS said.
Also in Texas, the wife of an ICE officer was threatened on the phone after a caller said: “I don’t know how you let your husband work for ICE and not sleep at night. F— you, your f— family. I hope your kids get deported by accident. How do you sleep? F— you. Have you heard about what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because that’s what’s going to happen to your family.”

Fox News Digital reported Tuesday that a man identified as James Adrian Warren allegedly threatened the ICE office in Ferndale, Washington, calling officers “Nazis” and “Gestapo.”
Warren also allegedly said she planned to “make life difficult for ICE here in Whatcom County” by observing, tracking, recording and reporting employees.
“They should be told every day they come to work that they are Nazis, and every day they go home they should be reminded that they are Nazis. I start the next day off, so should you,” he said in a Facebook post. it said.

DHS said Secretary Kristi Noem’s “message is clear” and that ICE will not be stopped or slowed down because of threats.
“ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you engage a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” DHS said, referring to Noem.
