Good to see Omar Abdullah enjoying visit to Statue of Unity: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Omar Abdullah enjoyed his visit to Gujarat and his visit to the Union statue would inspire other Indians to travel to different parts of the country.
Mr. Abdullah was in Ahmedabad to attend a tourism event.

Previously, Mr. Abdullah published photos of the morning run at Prments of the famous Sabarmati River Protemenade.
He said, “It was one of the most beautiful places I could run and sharing it with many other hikers/runners. I even managed to cross the Magnificent Atal Foot Bridge.”
The 182 -meter union statue is the highest statue of the world dedicated to the country’s first home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is located near Ekta Nagar, known as Kevadia in Narma region.
Speaking to journalists standing on the wall of the dam in Ekta Nagar, Mr. Abdullah said he never imagined that these two structures would be very impressive.
“These structures are both structures and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as India’s iron man. He said.
Abdullah, “We (J & K people) were not so lucky, because we could never perceive such projects. We were not allowed to stop the river waters. Now, when the Indus Water Treaty was suspended, we see a light of hope.” He said.
