Overflowing Causeway Delays Wedding By 5 Hours

Karimnagar: In a strange incident, the flood waters almost forced the postponement of a wedding ceremony, the couple ultimately tied the knot almost five hours late due to the constant rains in the region. Traveling with his family for the wedding, the groom had to move on a flooded passage and move on the shoulders of the locals to reach the house of the bride in the Ganneriva Mandal from the Karimnagar Region on Wednesday.
Komura Malllu, a resident of the Gunjapadugu village in the Jagtial region, was planned on Wednesday of Teku Bhagya, a mandal headquarters. The groom’s party traveling by car reached the skirts of Ganneriva through Venkatrao Pally and Pottooru villages. However, the village’s main tank overflowed on a low -level passage and made it impossible for the vehicles to pass. As a result, the groom and his family were stranded on the road for about four hours.
When the water flow was not withdrawn, the locals came in to help by removing the groom and carrying it through the overflowing passage. This finally allowed the couple to reach the wedding venue after the planned time.
The incident underlined a permanent problem in the newly established ganneviam latch. Located between the Alt Manair Dam and the Manauir River, the local tanks and ponds often carry and cause great discomfort for residents. When the villagers overflow the Ganneriva tank, it becomes impossible to travel from neighboring villages and neighboring villages, which makes it difficult to carry pregnant women and patients during the monsoon season.
The inhabitants have long demanded the construction of a high -level bridge in the Ganneviam tank and from another bridge near the village of Peruvella, where a 40 -year -old bridge sank. The absence of such infrastructure allows the entire tanger to be cut from the regional headquarters during heavy rainfall.
