Death of one-year-old boy: police arrest father

Police arrested the father of a 1-year-old boy who died under suspicious circumstances in Neyyattinkara earlier this month. The accused, Shijil, reportedly confessed that he caused the death of the child by hitting him in the stomach. Ihan, son of Shijil and Krishnapriya Kanjiramkulam, fainted and died on January 16. Allegedly, the death occurred after the child consumed the biscuit given to him by Shijil. Following the incident, Neyyattinkara police interrogated both parents.
