Trump reveals details of secret ‘sonic weapon’ used in Venezuela raid: ‘Nobody else has it’
Donald Trump has confirmed that US special forces used a ‘stealth sonic’ weapon during the daring capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
On Tuesday night, the President extolled the capabilities of the US military while boasting that “no one else” had the weapons.
The exact nature of the weapons and how they were used are unknown. Trump was coy about giving details during an interview with NewsNation host Katie Pavlich.
Pavlich asked Trump whether Americans should be ‘afraid’ of these sonic devices.
“Yes,” Trump replied.
He later added that only the US military had access to sonic weapons, saying: ‘This is something I don’t want… no one else has it.’
‘But we have weapons that no one knows about.’ Trump continued. ‘And I say it’s probably best not to talk about it, but we have great weapons.’
Following Maduro’s capture, reports emerged that special forces used unknown sonic weapons to neutralize Cuban guards assigned to protect the Venezuelan dictator.
