The Chinese artificial intelligence attempt Deepseek implies that China will soon marry China to support AI models, while China soon declared an update to one of its major language models.

In a comment under a shipment Official WeChat AccountDeepseek said that the newly released model V3.1’s “UE8M0 FP8” sensitive format is designed for a new generation of dominated chips to be released soon.

FP8 or 8 bit floating spots, Data processing format This can increase the calculation efficiency for the training and inferences of large deep learning models.

Deepseek’s talking about China’s future generation chips, Washington’s advanced semiconductor export restrictions and Beijing’s chip for self -sufficiency may indicate the CINEM’s working plans with the emerging AI chip ecosystem.

Comments come about two weeks after Beijing calls Chinese AI developers to use internal alternatives to graphic processing units used in AI training of NVIDIA. Analysts say that China’s domestic AI chip manufacturers are behind technological progress and Nvidia on a scale, while players like Huawei make progress.

On Thursday, Deepseek did not announce the chips used to train V3.1 or the local chips that the UE8M0 FP8 could be compatible.

Despite export controls that restrict NVIDIA’s use of the most advanced AI training chips, NVIDIA shook the world of technology after publishing the R1 reasoning model, which shows comparable skills with Western competitors such as Openai.

Before that, in December, the company released the V3, which Nvidia said that less developed chips were trained over 2,000.

Following DEEPSEEK’s model breakthroughs, the US further squeezed export restrictions in April and effectively banned Nvidia’s specially designed H20 chips to meet previous export restrictions in China.

Last month, the authorities from the Trump administration said that Nvidia plans to allow the chips to send the chips to China. However, the H20s are now met with review in China, and the regulators reportedly forced companies to buy chips until a national security review is completed.

CHIP analysts told CNBC that companies trying to build an alternative AI Chip ecosystem in China, such as Huawei, could benefit from the lack of H20s of Nvidia in the market.

Deepseek said on Thursday. Reasoning models can carry out more complex tasks with a logical process of thought.

As of September 6, the company will also set the model’s API pricing, which will allow other applications and web products developers to integrate Deepseek into platforms.
