Delhi HC stays ₹340 crore damages order against Amazon in trademark case

The chapter bench under the leadership of Justice, exhaust, is subject to Amazon who follows the remaining instructions given by the only judge bench in the case.
In May, Amazon Technologies approached the department counter to challenge the decision of February. The only judge ordered the company to sell, ad or stop dealing with any product using brand or logo similar to Lifestyle’s trademark registered trademark.
Lifestyle stocks and lifestyle licenses claim the ownership of ‘Beverly Hills Polo Club’ trademark and said that the brand has received goodwill in both local and global markets. In 2007, they launched the brand in India and offered a series of products such as clothing, watches, glasses, bags and shoes.
Amazon said that the findings of the single judge were deprived of supporting the evidence of violations and that the issue needed a detailed legal examination.
The previous decision observed that Amazon Technologies offers similar products in some of the pricing of the lifestyle, and considering the market domination of Amazon, it was called astonishment strategy.
