Delilah Hamlin says undiagnosed chronic condition caused her seizures

Delilah Hamlin has endured years of health problems and is trying to recover from the physical and mental toll of what she believes is a medical mystery.
Hamlin, the eldest daughter of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna and her actor husband Harry Hamlin, revealed that her endometriosis went undiagnosed for years. Because of his chronic condition, he only stopped having seizures after he had surgery.
The 27-year-old model admitted to suffering from gynecological health issues throughout her life and relied on her own research to defend herself medically.

According to the Mayo Clinic, endometriosis is a chronic disease that occurs when “tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus—the endometrium—grows outside your uterus.” The disease, which affects hundreds of thousands of women worldwide, can cause severe pain.
“I went through some really painful times,” Hamlin said in the show’s final episode. O MD podcast. “And I saw so many different gynecologists and no one mentioned endometriosis.”

“I first heard about this when Halsey shared it on Instagram years ago, but then I never thought about it. I thought about PCOS and other things gynecologists would bring up. But my cramps were so bad I was diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).”

Hamlin recalled having to be withdrawn from high school classes because her symptoms were so bad.

“I would have seizures more often during or before my period,” she said. “I would get really hot and start shaking.”
In 2021, the “Nothing Lasts Forever” singer decided to stay sober due to contractions.
“I got sober from alcohol because of the seizures. That was my main reason,” he shared. “I definitely struggled with substance abuse because I was experiencing so much depression and anxiety. The panic attacks were so bad. No one could figure out the root cause of it all.”

The model underwent surgery for endometriosis and had endometrial implants removed, which relieved the symptoms and seizures.

“It’s a good feeling to know that this can be fixed,” he said. “I’m very grateful, but you need to do a lot of research on your own.”
In 2023, Hamlin suffered “horribly painful” seizures on set while filming her first music video.
“On the second day of shooting the music video, it was almost nine hours into the day and I had a seizure,” he said. Fun Tonight. “We don’t know much about them yet. Years later, we’re still trying to understand.”

He added, “It was probably one of the worst moments I’ve had in a while, but I was surrounded by everyone I love. I was able to bring that feeling into the shoot the next day.”
Hamlin explained in 2021: Accidental overdose on prescription medications and was “addicted to Xanax,” according to her social media at the time.
He also shared that he has battled several illnesses, including Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr virus, encephalitis, and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections).
