Blake Lively’s astronomical salary for starring in It Ends With Us alongside Justin Baldoni  revealed amid ongoing legal battle

The salary Blake Lively will receive for starring in the now famous movie It Ends With Us has been announced.

The 38-year-old actress starred as Lily Bloom in the romantic drama alongside Justin Baldoni, 41, and the pair are currently in an ongoing legal battle stemming from the set of their movie.

The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff revealed that legal documents show the actor was paid £1.3 million to take part in six weeks of filming, amounting to just over £43,000 a day.

She will also be given a bonus of £149,000 if she wins an Oscar for her role as florist Lily Bloom, and a bonus of £74,000 for being nominated.

In addition, Blake and his company would receive a £186,000 bonus if the film, which was released in the UK in August last year, grossed more than three times its budget at the box office.

The film follows florist Lily Bloom, whose abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid (Justin) is further exacerbated when her ex-boyfriend Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar) re-enters her life.

The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was a success at the box office, grossing £261 million worldwide against a budget of £18 million.

This comes just days after Justin’s former agent accused Blake of ‘extortion’, as the never-ending legal battle revolving around the film It Ends With Us has become even more intense.

According to a deposition transcript obtained by the Daily Mail, the filmmaker’s former representative, Danny Greenberg, claimed that Blake’s behavior on set and in post-production had become increasingly erratic, even going so far as to describe it as “extortion” during meetings with Justin in July 2024.

Danny helped Justin draft emails to Sony that referenced allegations of Blake’s “ongoing extortion and effort to gain control of the film.”

Danny clarified his use of the word ‘extortion’, saying that he was not literally talking about criminal extortion, but rather the cumulative behavior and increasing pressure from both Wayfarer and Sony Studios.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Blake’s representatives for comment but has yet to receive a response. Justin’s representatives declined to comment.

In December 2024, the actress sued Justin for allegedly sexually harassing her on set — allegations he denied — before she and Wayfarer Studios responded with a defamation lawsuit against Blake, her publicist Leslie Sloane, and her husband Ryan Reynolds.

Justin also declared war on The New York Times, filing a $400 million defamation lawsuit against the publication on December 31, 2024, after it broke the bombshell about sexual harassment allegations against Blake’s former co-star.

The New York Times disputed the claim, and the case was ultimately dismissed in June 2025; but earlier this month the publication filed a complaint seeking ‘reimbursement of costs, fees and charges incurred’.

In new legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Blake’s make-up artist Vivian Baker said that all of the incidents described as ‘inappropriate’ occurred in the early stages of filming and that everything ‘appeared to be going well’.

Meanwhile, Blake’s talent manager Warren Zavala appeared to echo these claims, saying he was not aware of any incidents that disturbed Blake during the second phase of filming.

However, he said he became aware of his client’s complaints during the ‘subsequent process’ when he was testing a cut of the film.

Blake’s rep told People: ‘The court has already rejected their claim of a purported film takeover, and this cherry-picked excerpt of testimony from Baldoni’s previous manager before he was ousted from WME adds nothing new.

‘The court’s dismissal even assumed the allegations were true for the sake of argument and still held that they did not amount to a valid claim under the law. This is a legal process, not clickbait. This is simply a recycled distraction that has nothing to do with the real sexual harassment and retaliation case facing Baldoni and the Wayfarer Defendants.’

This comes just days after details of Blake’s allegedly unsigned draft contract for It Ends Like Us emerged during the ongoing Baldoni trial.

The actress, whose name was not mentioned in her husband Ryan’s last speech, is planned to be paid more than $1.7 million, in addition to various potential bonuses. Us Weekly on Friday.

On Thursday, Justin and his team, who faced new allegations of harassment last month, unsealed court documents filed in their ongoing legal battle with Blake over the 2024 movie.

The copy of the contract dated May 5, 2023 was not signed by Blake because it was said that the actor would be paid a ‘fixed’ compensation of $1.75 million for his role in the film.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Blake’s representatives for comment but has yet to receive a response.
