While many stars have shared their casting experiences, Mouni Roy has now revealed a disturbing incident from her early days in the industry. In a conversation with Apoorva Mukhija on Spice It Up, the actor shared that although he had never met the cast, when he was just 21 years old, he encountered bad behavior that shook him to his core.
Mouni Roy recalls a troublesome experience in Bollywood
When asked if she had ever encountered an casting couch in Bollywood or if someone had treated her badly, Mouni said, “Actor’s chair toh nahi hua, but badtameezi hui hai(I have never encountered an casting chair but I was treated badly.) I was 21-22 years old and had gone to someone’s office where there were people in the office where the narration was taking place. Suddenly there was a scene where the girl fell into the swimming pool, she lost it.” He regains consciousness and the hero takes him out, breathes mouth-to-mouth, and regains consciousness.”
“The guy literally grabbed my face and showed me mouth to mouth breathing. Uss 1 split second main mujhe samajh hi nahi aaya just izleh kya hua (In that split second I didn’t realize what was happening to me. I started shaking and ran downstairs. It really scared me for a very long time,” she added.
