Heated Exchange Between Jani and Sekhar Master Goes Viral Amid Association Row

Tollywood’s dance fraternity came into limelight after an internal dispute within the Telugu Film and TV Dancers Association became public. Videos showing renowned choreographers Jani Master and Sekhar Master engaging in a heated argument at the association’s office have gone viral on social media, triggering widespread speculation of a growing rift between the two camps.
The controversy reportedly started after a group of dancers objected to the decisions taken by Sumalatha, president of the Telugu Film and TV Dancers Association and Jani Master’s wife. The protesting members alleged that he was taking unilateral decisions, especially regarding the conduct of by-elections, without consulting the executive committee or getting approval from the Telugu State Film Employees Federation.
As tensions increased, around 10 officials reportedly resigned from their respective positions in protest, questioning the legality of the proposed by-elections. According to sources, the group led by Sekhar Master strongly opposed Sumalatha’s decision to schedule the elections without following due process or holding wider consultations with members.
The dispute soon turned into a verbal conflict and Jani Master and Sekhar Master were seen arguing intensely at the association office. In videos circulating online, several police personnel are seen trying to calm both groups as the situation threatens to get out of control.
Despite the ongoing controversies, both Jani Master and Sekhar Master remain among the most sought-after choreographers in Telugu cinema. Over the years, they have choreographed chartbuster songs for leading stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu and gained fame as two of Tollywood’s leading dance directors.
Industry sources say senior members of the film union are now planning to bring both groups together for talks and resolve the dispute amicably. With Telugu dancers becoming increasingly recognized in Hindi cinema, industry insiders believe that an early resolution is necessary to prevent the controversy from affecting the careers and reputation of the dance community.
