In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Mukesh stated that the age difference was necessary and said, “I gave very clear information. The story is that he was trying to trap her. So we knew we wanted a young girl, around 20-21 years old.” Chhabra assured that anyone talking about the age gap will “get all the answers” when Episode 2 comes around. “It’s not like we don’t have good actors in the 26-27 age group, we have good actors. But this (age difference) was needed in the movie. Everything you can’t explain to people. I was laughing when I read the age difference too. According to the synopsis of the movie, it’s true.”

We wanted to bring a new approach to casting with new actors: Mukesh Chhabra

Chhabra expressed that he is very happy that many directors, including Aditya, are now giving more chances to newcomers. Sharing her views on the casting, the actress said, “My idea was to create the whole world. So, we are doing surprise casting and this girl needs to look completely fresh. Even though she is a child actor and has done a few films as a child actor, we wanted to give a fresh approach. So, I have been working with Sara for many years and she comes to the audition. She is really a lovely girl.” Mukesh revealed that when Sara auditioned, he saw the hidden talent behind her sweet face. Mukesh concluded: “He is an amazing actor, you will see that in episode 2.” Dhurandhar Episode 2 will be released on 19 March 2026.
