Diddy ‘caught drinking moonshine in prison’ after telling judge he is sober

Diddy was allegedly caught drinking homemade moonshine in his cell, despite insisting to the judge that he was sober.
The 55-year-old disgraced rap mogul, whose real name is Sean Combs, was reportedly seen with alcohol by guards at Fort Dix in New Jersey, and authorities attempted to transfer him to a new unit as punishment.
It comes after footage emerged last week showing the 55-year-old behind bars for the first time, showing the usually well-groomed producer with a scruffy beard and gray hair as he chatted to other inmates.
Sources told TMZ He said Diddy was caught using makeshift alcohol made from Fanta, sugar and apples, which was then left to ferment for weeks and turned into an alcoholic beverage.
Authorities later reportedly reversed their decision and allowed him to remain in his current unit.
The incident comes after Diddy repeatedly told the court during his high-profile trial that he had finally gained clarity during his year in custody because it had allowed him to remain sober.
He told the court he was drunk or high every day for 25 years and blamed substances for losing his way.
‘The old me died in prison and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you; “I choose to live,” he wrote in the letter he wrote to the judge before the verdict.
He added that he went through a “spiritual reset” in prison and was “committed to his journey to remain a drug-free, non-violent and peaceful person.”
The producer is serving a four-year prison sentence for transportation for prostitution after a jury found him guilty in July of flying girlfriends and male sex workers across the country to attend drug-fueled orgies.

Footage that emerged of Diddy behind bars a week ago showed the unkempt record producer unshaven, graying, wearing a beanie and a heavy jacket.
Just weeks into his sentence, Diddy had a big smile on his face and looked like he was heading to court with his fellow inmates.
TMZ reported at the time that he was able to get a job in the prison’s laundry department shortly after he was transferred to the prison, which was located on the grounds of the joint McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst military base.
Combs’ lawyers asked a judge earlier this month to ‘strongly recommend’ that he be transferred to a low-security men’s prison so he can participate in the facility’s drug treatment program.
FCI Fort Dix, one of several dozen federal prisons with a residential drug treatment program, would allow Combs to “address drug use issues and maximize family visits and rehabilitation efforts,” his attorney, Teny Geragos, wrote in a letter.
Combs has served approximately 14 months of his 50-month sentence and is scheduled to be released from prison on May 8, 2028.
Authorities said he could reduce the time he spends behind bars by participating in substance abuse treatment programs, but allegations that he drank alcohol in prison could mean the end of that privilege.

Just weeks before his sentencing, the rap mogul’s lawyers petitioned the federal appeals court to quickly consider the legality of his conviction and sentence.
His lawyers said that the 55-year-old wanted his appeal to be evaluated as soon as possible so that he could benefit from a reduction in the time he spent in prison if the appeal court overturned his conviction.
President Donald Trump also said Combs had asked for a pardon, but the Republican did not say whether he would grant the request.
