Tens of thousands of anti-ICE protesters took to the streets of major cities across the country this weekend in a series of demonstrations organized largely by a coalition of left-wing groups.

The ICE Out for Good coalition called for a “weekend of action,” organizing more than 1,000 events across the country starting Saturday. The coalition was largely organized by Indivisible, the same left-wing group that suppressed the “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump in 2025.

The protests are focusing on the death of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis last week. He was killed in a shootout with ICE agents after federal authorities say he tried to run over one of the officers.

“Renee Nicole Good was a wife, mother of three, and member of her community. She and dozens of other sons, daughters, friends, siblings, parents, and community members killed by ICE must be alive today,” said Indivisible co-executive director Leah Greenberg.

“This weekend, people across the country are coming together to mourn, honor those we’ve lost, and hold accountable a system that has operated with impunity for too long. ICE violence is not a statistic; they have names, families, and futures, and we refuse to look away or remain silent,” he added.

Protests led to clashes with police and arrests in several states on Saturday. Austin Police detained at least three anti-ICE agitators as protests escalated there.

Members of the Trump administration have reiterated that ICE operations target illegal criminal aliens. Vice President J.D. Vance highlighted the list of people arrested and convicted in Minnesota, including child rapists and murderers.

“Arresting and deporting these people is absolutely critical to national security. National Democrats will kill our law enforcement if they don’t stop lying about this issue and the people who work to keep us safe,” Vance wrote to X.
