Diplomat Or Spy? Why The US Put Iran’s Ambassador To Pakistan On Its Most Wanted List | World News

Washington: The United States placed three Iranian citizens, including Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Sitting Reza Chief Moghaddam, on the most sought -after list. The names took place in a statement published by the Federal Investigation Bureau and connected them to the disappearance of 2007 former FBI special agent Robert Bob Levinon.

According to the FBI, Levinon disappeared on March 9, 2007 after arriving to Kish Island, a holiday zone on the southern coast of Iran. He was a retired officer until then. The Bureau claimed that Taqi Daneshvar and Gholam Hossein Mohammadnia, together with the other two Iranian officials of Moghaddam, were involved in the regulation of abduction.

The Iranian government did not respond to everyone allegations.

The FBI said in a statement that he called the role of the trio not only in abduction but also as an attempt to mask the participation of the Iranian state. The Agency has classified posters carrying images as part of a wider intelligence network allegedly operating under the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOI).

Authorities said Moghaddam is not an ordinary diplomat. In July 2023, Iran served as the ambassador of Islamabad. Information about him is rare on the Iranian Embassy’s website, but emphasizes that he has done a doctorate in international relations and that Iran has worked at the Supreme National Security Council.

However, the FBI claims that Moghaddam has previously operated within the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence. At that time, the agents placed in Europe were reported to be responsible to him.

Steven Jensen, Deputy Director of FBI’s Washington Field Office, described three as intelligence operators who played a key role in the disappearance of Levinon. He also said that the old agent might have died in captivity, family, friends and away from the homeland. The FBI continues its investigation and gave a $ 5 million award for information that could help find Levinson or shed light on the conditions surrounding its case.

FBI, also known as Seyed Taqi, is defined as a senior MOIS official who specializes in the fight against terrorism, called Taqi Daneshvar. It was claimed that Levinon had controlled another operation called Muhammad Sinai, also known as Muhammad Basiri during the disappearance of the disappearance.

The third individual Gholam Hossein Muhammednia once served as Iran’s Ambassador to Albania. He was fired by the Albanian government that he described as actions that threaten national security. Iran accused the US and Israel for allegedly forcing Tirana to take this decision.

Levinon’s career has been covered in the US Department of Justice for about thirty years. In 1998, he officially retired from the FBI. He worked specially at his disappearance and collected information for corporate customers. What brought him exactly to Kish Island was never public by the US government or the FBI.

Years after his disappearance, his son David received a video showing Levinon under captivity. In this record, Levinon heard that he had been held for three and a half years and applied to the US government to respond to his prisoners.

Fate is unknown. The FBI did not officially declare him dead, and his case remained open.
