On Thursday evening, a heated stock market exploded between the families of the sea erosion in Chellanam Panchayat due to the continuation of a charity camp in the congregation hall of the Cheriyakadavu Church.
Since the Parish Hall was reserved for a function on Sunday, the church officials reported that the camp would be injured after lunch on Friday, and that the residents could be moved to a school in Kalathara near Palturuthy. However, Chellanam-Kochi Janakeaya Vedhi protested this decision by showing the distance and how the families in the aid camp would affect the education of their children.
Income officials claimed that only four of the eight families with completely damaged homes were in the camp because they could not find rental accommodation. They claimed that the other four families were rented to places far from the school in Kalathara to eliminate the complaint on the distance. However, Vedhi opposed, claiming that there were more families with their homes.

Eventually, it was decided that the camp residents would be shifted to the Cheriyakadavu School in the neighborhood of the Parish Hall on Sunday and that the next day will return to the hall. The Hall was not reserved for any function for the next two weeks this Sunday and gave the authorities enough time to find a solution.
Meanwhile, the priests from Kochi and Alappuzha bishops will organize a day -long hunger strike at the Thoppumpady Bot junction on Friday and demand a permanent solution to the maritime erosion in Chellanam Panchayat. This is approaching the heels of the three-day siege of the Kochi-Alappuzha State Highway for three days before the Kochi-Alappuzha State Highway before it was called on Wednesday.
