Coast Guard seeks mystery sailboat in Lynette Hooker disappearance

The U.S. Coast Guard is asking for the public’s help in identifying a sailboat it says may have been docked next to the sailboat owned by Brian and Lynette Hooker the night Lynette disappeared in the Bahamas.
More than a month after Lynette, 55, disappeared on April 4, the Coast Guard is still investigating. Brian said his wife fell overboard from the eight-foot dinghy as the couple was returning to their yacht, Soulmate, off the coast of Elbow Cay at dusk. soulmate was anchored in Aunt Pat’s Bay off the island.
The couple had been drinking at the Abaco Inn and tried to get back to the yacht despite high winds and rough seas, which Brian said caused Lynette to fall overboard.

“#CGIS [Coast Guard Investigative Service] is seeking information from the public regarding the disappearance of Lynette Hooker from BAH Aunty Pat’s Bay. The Coast Guard asked anyone with information to submit tips via phone app.
CBS said it received a Coast Guard memo regarding the search update.

“The owners/occupiers of the sailing vessel may have information relevant to the CGIS investigation,” the memo said. According to CBS.
The Coast Guard declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.
Brian, 58, was detained by Bahamian police for five days after his wife disappeared. Ultimately, he was not charged with any crime and was released from custody. He denied any wrongdoing in the case.
After being released from custody at the Central Police Station in Freeport, Grand Bahama, on April 13, he told reporters that he would remain in the Bahamas to look for his wife. He returned to the USA the next day
