The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to the NFL playoffs after a thrilling end to Week 18, and one of their stars is clearly happy he’s not allowed to play in the team’s crucial final regular season games due to suspension.
DK Metcalf was suspended two games for assaulting a fan during the Steelers’ game against the Detroit Lions, and his availability for the 2025 season came down to a 44-yard field goal Sunday night by Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop to determine who would win the AFC North and who would go home this year.
Loop’s kick went to right, and Metcalf will also play against the Houston Texans on “Monday Night Football” during the Wild Card Round.

Metcalf decided to post a skit by comedian Druski on his site. Instagram Story He expressed his happiness on Monday. In the skit, Druski plays a character who has just been released from prison, which Metcalf explicitly compares to a two-game suspension.
In the skit, Druski meets his friends again while saying “the devil’s house”. Metcalf will likely feel the same way as he heads to the Steelers’ facility this week to prepare for a playoff game.

The Steelers didn’t need to hope that Loop would miss that kick on Sunday night to seal their playoff seed, as a win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 could seal the deal. But without Metcalf, Rodgers and his staff had a tough time against the Browns’ defense; Those passes included three incomplete passes from the four-time MVP quarterback to Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the end zone at the end of the game.
Steelers fans couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if Metcalf had been the one to take the fade balls, as he had all season.

Instead, Week 18 was a highlight as the Ravens defeated the Green Bay Packers and turned the matchup at Acrisure Stadium into a winner-takes-all scenario. Luckily, Metcalf’s teammates caught him; That includes Calvin Austin, who scored the game-winning goal with 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
However, the Steelers were in a tough spot after reliable kicker Chris Boswell shanked the extra point, leaving the Ravens with a chance on a walk-off field goal.
Pittsburgh escaped with the win, but the challenge is even greater now as they will have to face the Texans, who have the NFL’s best defense in yards allowed per game (277.2) and second-best in points allowed (17.4).
