BJP State President Nainar Nagenthran on Sunday alleged that the DMK government in Tamil Nadu has failed to retain investments and allowed them to move out of the State.

A South Korean company, which was planning to invest Rs 1,720 crore in Tamil Nadu, has decided to move its investment to Andhra Pradesh instead, Mr. Nagenthran said in a statement.

He said Chief Minister MK Stalin, who has often said that he will not let Tamil Nadu keep its head down, should accept that the State government’s “inefficiency” has resulted in the loss of 20,000 direct employment opportunities for the State’s youth.

He claimed that it has become routine for the State government to announce investment coming to Tamil Nadu even as reports have emerged of projects being moved to neighboring states. Claiming that the Prime Minister returned from his foreign trips without receiving new investments, he added that the government gave up on investments that could be retained and damaged the future of the State.
