Only raw numbers, registered driver licenses in London constitute 1.76 million of the UK’s penal scores.

Capital has the highest number of licenses for an area in the UK – more than three times the next city’s next city (356,974 points) and more than 14 percent of the total number of penalties of the country.

Per capita basis, London with 212 penalty points per 1000 licenses at the table.

Mark Trimbee, CEO of Regransfers, said, ‘When you look at the numbers, you realize how many people carry penalties in their licenses.

‘It is easy to assume that bad driving habits are limited to big cities or highways, but the data tells a different story, and it is interesting to see Halifax, Huddersfield and Plymouth at the top of our data.’

However, he accepts something important about the statistics shown.

“You can look at the data and believe that higher points in certain regions mean that bad activity is a ‘warm point’ – but the situation is not, ” he explains.

‘Points, for example, a place outside the registered address of a person – can be given anywhere in the UK.

‘This kind of data, perhaps what helps to shed light, perhaps driving training and good driving habits – are areas where it may be insufficient.’
