Doing grandad proud! Ozzy Osbourne’s grandson Sidney, three, takes centre stage as Aston Villa mascot – as mother Kelly watches on with rarely seen brother Louis

Ozzy Osbourne’s grandson took to the stage at Villa Park yesterday, five months after the rock legend’s last show at the same stadium.
Daughter Kelly Osbourne watched as her three-year-old son Sydney became one of the mascots in Aston Villa’s 2-1 league match against Manchester United.
Sydney was tackled by Villa captain John McGinn before kick-off, then handed over to Kelly, who watched the match from the sidelines.
Kelly, 41, wore a full Villa shirt and was joined by his rarely seen brother Louis, 50, whose mother is Ozzy’s first wife Thelma Riley and with whom he has two other children.
She was also supported by Sydney’s father and her fiancé, American rock star Sid Wilson, who is the keyboardist for the heavy metal band Slipknot.
Kelly said ahead of the match that his son representing Villa was a ‘proud moment’.
Dad Ozzy, who grew up in the area near the stadium, was a lifelong fan of Villa.
Following Ozzy’s death on 22 July, Villa said he “represented Villa’s Aston roots by bridging the worlds of rock metal and football”.
The TV star, who wore the team’s jersey, was proud of his three-year-old son, Sidney, coming onto the field as the mascot.

Growing up in Aston, not far from ‘Villa Park’, Ozzy always had a special connection with the club and community he came from.
‘The thoughts of everyone at Aston Villa are with his wife Sharon, family, friends and countless fans at this extremely difficult time. ‘Rest in peace, Ozzy.’

Louis was clearly devastated by his father’s passing as he changed his Facebook profile picture to a completely black screen.
Ozzy had three children from his first marriage and three from his marriage to Sharon, Kelly, Jack and Aimee, to whom he remained married until his death.
Before marrying Sharon, he married his first wife, Thelma Riley, after meeting her in a nightclub in Birmingham in 1971.
Although details about their birthdays are unclear, they welcomed children named Jessica and Louis together.
Ozzy also adopted Thelma’s five-year-old son Elliot from a previous relationship.
Louis currently works as a DJ and married actress Louise Lennon in 2004.
The couple married in 2004 and Ozzy was unable to attend after he was seriously injured in a quad bike accident.
In the 2011 documentary film God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, produced by his son Jack, he revealed that he didn’t even remember when Louis and Jessica were born.

Louis also revealed that he grew up with a drunk father.
‘When he was around and he wasn’t [drunk]He was a great father,” he said in the documentary.
‘But that was really rare. I have so many memories of him getting drunk and driving random cars through fields and crashing into them in the middle of the night and stuff like that.
‘This is really not good for family life.’
His older sister Jessica added: ‘I don’t remember my dad putting me to bed or giving me a bath or anything like that.
‘I wouldn’t say he was there for us, no, never at sports day, school trip, parent meetings. He wasn’t like that, no.’
